With ActionScript 3 combined with Flash Media Server there are some really great capabilities out there for streaming video, but even without FMS you can find some super slick players out there like these – I'm actually working on an audio player myself right now.

flash memory, media players – what next?
Cool! Actually I prefer to use Vimeo's or Youtube's flash player (embeded) but recently I was looking for some kind of an audio player and looks like I just found one. I hope that this one will be useful for me :).
